Supported
Living
We recognise the vital role that family relationships play in a child or young person’s emotional wellbeing, identity and sense of belonging. Maintaining meaningful connections with parents, siblings and other significant people can provide reassurance, stability and support during challenging times.
Our Supervised Contact and Family Time service enables children, young people and their families to spend time together in a safe, nurturing and well-supported environment. We work to ensure that each contact session is child-centred, positive and structured, promoting both the child's welfare and the development of healthy family relationships.
Delivered by experienced and compassionate staff, our services can take place in contact centres, community venues or other agreed locations, in line with the individual needs of the child and the requirements of the Local Authority care plan.
We offer flexible support, including:
- Planned and ongoing contact arrangements
- Regular supervised family time sessions
- Emergency contact support
- Ad-hoc and short-notice arrangements
- Community-based supervised contact where appropriate
Our approach is founded on dignity, respect and professionalism, with the child’s safety, emotional wellbeing and best interests at the centre of everything we do. We strive to create a calm and supportive atmosphere where children and families can maintain important relationships with confidence and reassurance.
Listening to Young People
Young people are encouraged to share their views on their support, accommodation, housing expectations, and future plans.
We believe that young people should be listened to and involved in decisions that affect their lives.
We promote young people’s voice through:
- Regular key-work sessions
- Young people’s meetings
- Feedback forms
- Placement reviews
- Complaints process
- Day-to-day conversations with staff
- Feedback from young people helps us improve our service and ensure that support remains meaningful and child-centred.
